Letter: Bush’s record has been very bad
Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003 | 8:59 a.m.
Every now and then one needs to look at what our president has accomplished during his term of office. With that in mind I have compiled the following statistics:
He has spent the surplus and accumulated a massive new national debt with the largest deficit ever recorded.
He has led us into two wars, half way around the world with no end in sight or a way to get out. His reasoning for one was based on lies.
He created the image of our country as an arrogant, go-it-alone, self-centered nation and destroyed the worldwide image of America as a friendly, caring and loving country.
The annual income of the average American household has dropped $500 and the number of people living in poverty has increased by 1.7 million. He has added 2 million people to the unemployment lines.
He has led a concerted drive to destroy the environment so corporations can put a few more bucks in their coffers.
These are but a few of his negative accomplishments. His record speaks for itself.
