County to host leadership classes
Residents interested in learning about county government and improving their local communities are encourage to enroll in the Clark County Community Leadership workshops.
The free workshops are a series of interactive leadership-training opportunities that allow citizens to develop skills to partner with local government and their neighbors to enhance their communities. The overall goal of the Community Leadership Workshops is to cultivate partnerships between citizens, government and other community organizations to maintain and improve the quality of life in the valley neighborhoods.
Workshops will be offered during two semesters per year -- one in the fall and one in the spring. Course topics include building communities, facilitation, conflict resolution, planning and development, interacting with officials and grant funding. To increase accessibility for participants, courses are offered twice a week at community centers.
