Six vehicles damaged in casino parking deck fire

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- The cause of a wind-swept fire on the roof of a casino parking ramp that damaged six vehicles is under investigation, a fire marshal said.

No injuries were reported in the fire that started in a pickup truck and quickly spread to five other vehicles on Friday afternoon at Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel.

Fire Marshal Jeff Hutcheson said firefighters had to run a hose up to the top of the 5-story building because a fire engine was too large to drive in the ramp.

Harrah's Public Relations Manager Gina Ott said the hotel provided transportation home for those whose cars could not be driven.
