Plane belly-lands at NLV

Two days after a couple of single-engine planes ran into each other on the North Las Vegas Airport's runway, another private plane landing there skidded to a stop on its belly because its landing gear didn't work Thursday, Clark County Aviation Department spokeswoman Hilarie Grey said.
The pilot and one passenger on the two-seat Beechcraft Bonanza single-engine plane were not injured in the rough landing, which happened around 11 a.m., Grey said.
"He skidded to a landing. There was no fire. No injuries," she said.
"The front wheel wouldn't come down, but the back ones did," Grey said. "It was a mechanical problem. I don't think it will be considered an accident."
Grey said the plane was based at the North Las Vegas Airport. She did not know the name of the plane owner and said even if she did she probably wouldn't identify the owner without their permission.
