The Las Vegas Southwest Rotary Club announced it has donated $150,000 to the Wheelchair Foundation. The Wheelchair Foundation created a partnership with the Rotary Club by matching any contributions made by the Rotary Club or Rotarian for a total of $300,000, resulting in 20 wheelchairs for children, teens and adults who cannot otherwise afford one.
The Las Vegas Southwest Rotary Club has targeted their efforts toward Guatemala, and their donation has been made in memory of Jean Aberle, Lew Atkins, Deanne Bearden, Gloria Bowler, Bob Dickinson, Pat and Sunny Gassaway, Pete Jaramillo, George Stobie and John Yoxen Sr. -- members of the Southwest Rotary Club who have died.
