Traffic commission to meet Thursday

The Las Vegas Traffic and Parking Commission will meet Thursday at 2 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
Among the items to be discussed: possible action to remove parking meters on Sixth Street between Bonneville and Garces avenues; creating a residential parking program on Holly Hill Avenue between McLeod Drive and Scarlet Oak Avenue; and amending speed limits on Ann Road from U.S. 95 to the city limits and on Elkhorn Road from Decatur Boulevard to Sky Pointe Drive.
The proposed speed limit for Ann Road is 45 mph, up from the current 35 mph. For Elkhorn Road, the proposed new limit is 35 mph, up from the current 25 mph.
