Dominick Bruno

Dominick Bruno, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. A retired professional driver and a World War II veteran of the Merchant Marines, he was born July 10, 1913, in Paterson, N.J.

He is survived by one son, Gary Bruno, and one brother, Tony Bruno, both of Las Vegas.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling private services.

Edith B. Handley

Edith B. Handley, 89, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Baker, Ore. A resident for five years, she was a retired owner-operator of a beauty salon.

She is survived by one grandson and his wife, Richard and Debra Sharpe.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

William W. Hart

William W. Hart, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born June 25, 1925, in Marshalltown, Iowa. A resident for two years, he was an electrical technician for a contracting firm and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy; one son, William Hart Jr. of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sue Hart of Newport Beach, Calif., and Janice Hart of Las Vegas; one sister, Virginia Bacon of Long Beach, Calif.; two brothers, Dean Hart of Long Beach and Dale Hart of Seal Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Victoria Holtz

Victoria Holtz, 86, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1917, in Danville, Ill. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by three sons, Arthur Cruea of Covington, Ind., and Jack Cruea and Terry Holtz, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Edward Jackowski and Walter Jackowski, both of Danville, and Henry Jackowski of Palm Coast, Fla.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Lynette Y. Iwata

Lynette Y. Iwata, 79, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. A homemaker, she was born Dec. 10, 1923, in North Las Vegas.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur Akiu of Honolulu and Gordon Akiu of Spokane, Wash.; three daughters, Betty Ann Young of Kahaluu, Hawaii, Pearl Aku of Kona, Hawaii, and Edean Cabiles of Las Vegas.

Kenneth Craig Johnson

Kenneth Craig Johnson, 49, of Pahrump died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 19, 1954, in Santa Barbara, Calif. A resident for one year, he was a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by one daughter, Crystal Lynn Hinchen of Casper, Wyo.; his parents, Ted and Betty Rivers of Pahrump; two brothers, Jack Johnson and Korey Johnson, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Kimberly Wrede of Ohio, Terri Wilson of Texas, Norma Jean Boone of Las Vegas and Kristi Jo Harden of California; and one granddaughter.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.

J.D. Kopsa

J.D. Kopsa, 65, of Las Vegas died Sept. 10 in a local hospice. A retired 33-year civil service employee, he was born Sept. 18, 1937, in Agenda, Kan.

He is survived by four children, Teresa Powell, Jeff Kopsa and Tempe McFarlane, all of Boise, Idaho, and Maria Richins of Ogden, Utah; one brother, Richard of Bagiuo, Philippines; one sister, Maureen Rytych of Kansas; and five grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. River of Life Family Worship Center, Mountain Home, Idaho, is handling arrangements.

Mary Margaret Murrell

Mary Margaret Murrell, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 21, 1912, in O'Connor, Neb. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired registered nurse and an Army veteran.

She is survived by one great-niece, Gayle M. Peters of Milwaukie, Ore.

Judy Ann Reed

Judy Ann Reed, 53, of Henderson died Saturday. A schoolteacher, she was born March 21, 1950, in Albany, N.Y.

She is survived by her husband, James R.; two sons, Jason Reed of Los Angeles and Jordan Reed of Henderson; one sister, Karen Sparks of Orlando, Fla.; and four brothers, Don Miletich of Las Vegas and Gerald Barr, Harry L. Barr and Wayne Barr, all of Albany.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Sharon Christian Roland

Sharon Christian Roland, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 23, 1937, in Los Angeles. A resident for 61 years, she was a homemaker, a 1955 graduate of Las Vegas High School, where she was a member of the Rhythmettes, and was the queen of the Flamingo hotel float in a Helldorado parade.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles F.; two sons, Barry Roland and Mark Roland, and her mother, Gladys Christian, all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Pierina Segafredo

Pierina Segafredo, 84, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospice. A homemaker, she was born Jan. 2, 1919.

She is survived by two sons, James Segafredo of Henderson and Jim Segafredo of Granada Hills, Calif.

Phillip Seyler

Phillip Seyler, 45, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born July 2, 1958, in San Francisco. A resident for six years, he was a veteran of the Merchant Marines and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his parents, David and Mona Seyler of Henderson; one brother, Perry Seyler of Novato, Calif.; two sisters, Laura Woolstenhulme of Portland, Ore., and Andrea Borden of Henderson.

Susan Stratton

Susan Stratton, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 2, 1948, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for 31 years, she was a sales representative.

She is survived by her husband, Linsey; one daughter, Diane Winters of Henderson; two sons, Richard Winters of North Las Vegas and Matthew Stratton of Las Vegas; her parents, Vincent and Lena Lazzara of Las Vegas; one brother, Vincent Lazzara Jr. of Valley Stream, N.Y.; one sister, Annette Wilson of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
