A fugitive wanted in Chicago and St. Louis for robbery was arrested Wednesday by members of the Criminal Apprehension Team, comprising investigators from Metro and Henderson police and the FBI.
Kenyatta Woods, 23, was taken into custody about 3 p.m. after he walked out of an acquaintance's apartment in the 3000 block of St. George Street, got into a vehicle and lay down on the back seat, Sgt. Ted Lee said. Police allege Woods and an accomplice committed a home invasion robbery March 12 in St. Louis. Woods is accused of shooting and wounding one of the victims and pistol whipping two others. He was also wanted on armed robbery charges in Chicago.
Woods had been living in Las Vegas for a short time and had been using the name Jonas Williamson, Lee said. He is awaiting extradition at Clark County Detention Center.
