Anita Berman

Anita Berman, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 28, 1919, in Boston. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired administrator, a member of Jewish Women's International and City of Hope.

She is survived by her husband, Morris; and one son, David Berman of Alexandria, Va.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Virginia M. Breglia

Virginia M. Breglia, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 1, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker and was involved with the senior center in Las Vegas.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathleen Minetello of Staten Island, N.Y., and Stefanie Schurr of Las Vegas; two sons, James Breglia and Thomas Breglia, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Herbert Turpin; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

John Thomas Brennan

John Thomas Brennan, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 29, 1936, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 11 years, he was a vice president for a manufacturer and a member of Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by two daughters, Veronica Wortz of Las Vegas and Jane Brennan of Newark, Del.; one son, Andrew Brennan of Bloomington, Del.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Delaware.

Celia R. Caponetta

Celia R. Caponetta, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Chicago. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne C. Malott Yatsko of Pismo Beach, Calif., and Patty Schmider of Henderson; one son, Al V. Caponetto, and one sister, Nancy Naples, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Paul Howard Cherry

Paul Howard Cherry, 54, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 17, 1949, in Gary, Ind. A resident for seven years, he was an Air Force tech sergeant.

He is survived by his wife, Yu Chih Liu; one daughter, Jennifer Cherry of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Cherry of Waldorf, Md.; four sisters, Barbara Coleman of Washington state, Mary Koone of Conway, Ark., Theresa Parilla of Sacramento and Betty Tritt of Elk Grove, Calif.

Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

William F. Dohmen

William F. Dohmen, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Ohio. A resident for 40 years, he was a truck driver, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Teamsters Union.

He is survived by his wife, Mary M.; one son, Charles William Wright; two daughters, Dawn Marie Hill and Theresa Marie Borlase; one brother, Robert Dohmen; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Darcel Ebert-Pursell

Darcel Ebert-Pursell, 47, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 27, 1956, in Cadillac, Mich. A resident for five years, she was an EMT/nurse's aide.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; one brother, Chad Ebert of Mukilteo, Wash.; and her parents, Nicki and Ed Ebert of Ocala, Fla.

Services were scheduled at noon today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

David Ferrell Jr.

David Ferrell Jr., 35, of Las Vegas died Aug. 28 in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 4, 1968, in California. A resident for nine years, he was a construction worker.

He is survived by his father, David Ferrell; and one sister, Angela Lawson.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Minnie R. Fulford

Minnie R. Fulford, 82, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born July 5, 1921, in Indianapolis. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired drugstore owner, director of the Young at Heart Band of Henderson and secretary of the Prestige assisted living newsletter.

She is survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 1:30 p.m. until a 3:30 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Theresa I. Harrell

Theresa I. Harrell, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A court reporter, she was born Sept. 20, 1922, in Detroit.

She is survived by one son, Cedric L. Traylor of Detroit.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Michigan. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Christine Rene Kludasch

Christine Rene Kludasch, 37, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 15, 1965, in Germany. A resident for 23 years, she was an employee at Pepsi Cola.

She is survived by her husband, Elmo; one daughter, Caitlin Wells, and one son, Cody Kludasch, and one brother, Ralph Mathieu, all of Las Vegas; and her grandfather, Fred Blanchette of Concord, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Catherine Anne Vilardo McCall

Catherine Anne Vilardo McCall, 87, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 2, 1916, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, she was involved with Catholic Charities.

She is survived by one son, Joseph David Vilardo, and one daughter, Sherry Bercseny, both of Las Vegas; one brother, David Anastasia of Sun City, Calif.; one sister, Theresa Rubertone of Sacramento; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6299 S. Eastern Ave. Rosary is scheduled at 7 p.m. Burial will in California.

Elmer M. 'Jim' Owens

Elmer M. "Jim" Owens, 74, of Las Vegas died Sept. 8 in Las Vegas. He was born April 28, 1929, in Brookside, Ala. A resident for 40 years, he owned a TV repair/rental company, was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathleen "Candy" Owens-Schlumpf of Las Vegas; one son, Rick M. Owens of Prescott, Ariz.; one sister, Faith Ann Morris of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Doug Owens of Boaz, Ala., and Shelley Owens of Martinez, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Rosie Lee Franklin Puckett

Rosie Lee Franklin Puckett, 67, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Bunky, La. A resident for 40 years, she owned and operated a maintenance business.

She is survived by two daughters, Charline Franklin of North Las Vegas and Roseann Samuels of Las Vegas; two sons, Ronald Franklin of North Las Vegas and Dwight Franklin of California; two sisters, Shirley Smith of California and Mary Boswell of Texas; one brother, Willie Fruga of California; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Samuel Rivkin

Samuel Rivkin, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 20, 1915, in Illinois. A resident for 55 years, he was a casino worker, a Navy veteran and a member of the Kennel Club.

He is survived by one son, Roger Rivkin of Las Vegas; one daughter, Carole Hann of Half Moon Bay, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Henry Eugene Stice

Henry Eugene Stice, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 22, 1932, in Oswego, Kan. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Four Queens scale technician and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters, Vickie Wood of Lancaster, Calif., and Rae Jean Brown of Chicago Park, Calif.; two sons, Steven Stice of Palmdale, Calif., and Rick Stice of Las Vegas; five sisters, and three brothers, all out-of-state; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.

Mary Evelyn West

Mary Evelyn West, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 8, 1941, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde; two sons, Clyde West of Las Vegas and Johnny West of Bullhead City, Ariz.; one daughter, Becky Hoffman of Minnesota; and five grandchildren.

Emma Robbie Whitefield

Emma Robbie Whitefield, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 29, 1915, in Mississippi. A resident for 13 years, she was a restaurant cashier and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

She is survived by her husband, Jack; one son, Robert K. Pittman of Los Angeles; two sisters, Earnmore Burns of Hayti, Mo., and L.C. Bullock of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to an 11 a.m. service Friday in the First African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2450 Revere St., North Las Vegas. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Edward Adolph Wisilinski Sr.

Edward Adolph Wisilinski Sr., 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 19, 1923, in Chicago. A resident for 7 1/2 years, he was a retired millwright in the metal industry and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Eileen A. Urbik of Dallas, Eleanor A. Wisilinski of Pleasanton, Calif., and Dolores R. Wisilinski Jr. of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; one son, Edward A. Wisilinski Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Jeanette Burghhardt of River Grove, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 12:40 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Barbara Alberta Yuzon

Barbara Alberta Yuzon, 63, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1940, in Honolulu. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Moeses; three sons, Pharaoh Yuzon and Byron Michael Yuzon, both of Henderson, and Craig Peter Yuzon of Pleasant Grove, Utah; one daughter, Roxanna Ayakawa of Henderson; and 11 grandchildren.
