Chiropractors will host Kids Day
Chiropractic offices worldwide will participate in the ninth annual Kids Day America/International, a health, safety, and environmental awareness event.
Locally, Dr. Margaret R. Colucci, 500 S. Rancho Drive, Suite A-1, will participate in the event from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, providing free spinal exams and scoliosis screenings. Information on disease prevention, crime prevention, child safety, environmental awareness, and specific health issues that affect children will be provided.
The office will donate special child ID cards to every child who attends and Metro Police will be on hand to provide free fingerprinting of all children.
There will also be free balloons, snacks, special giveaways and prize drawings.

Star Chefs will benefit March of Dimes
The sixth annual Star Chefs of Las Vegas event benefitting the March of Dimes will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rio.
The event will feature chefs from these restaurants: Fiore, Antonio's, Buzio's, Voodoo Lounge, Bamboleo, All American Bar and Grill, Toscano's Bakery, Pinot Brasserie, Rosemary's and Rosemary's at the Rio, Gaylord at the Rio, Commander's Palace, House of Blues Foundation Room, the Steakhouse at Circus Circus, Lutece, Cili Restaurants and Bar, the Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas, Wild Sage Cafes, Postrio, Chinoi, Trattoria del Lupo, Spago, Piero Selvaggio Valentino, Aureole, Roy's, Elements, Tremezzo, Viaggio, Ceres at JW Marriott, Delmonico Steakhouse and Emeril's New Orleans Fish House. Tickets are $175, and may be purchased by calling 732-9229.

The Metro Police recruitment team

The Las Vegas Parrot Head Club

The Alan May Hot Air Balloon

The movie "The Goonies"

The "Fur Ball,"
an event to benefit the Las Vegas Valley Humane Society, will begin at 6 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Canyon Gate Country Club. The event will include a cocktail reception with a no host bar and appetizers, entertainment, dinner and an auction. Tickets are $50. For more information, call 225-5780.
