Letter: Homosexuality met with fear
Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003 | 9:21 a.m.
I read Charles B. Lewis' short, but to the fear point, letter saying that homosexuality is natural -- like murder and spousal and child abuse.
I find it interesting that this language is printed, when there is scientific proof to the contrary. Our fellow African-Americans, in the past and present, have had to tolerate such ignorant statements about their race, but I know the Sun would not print that.
Soon the same ignorance and fear will not be published about gays for the same reasons. Since the beginning of recorded time, there has been a percentage of homosexuality in humans, animals and even insects. Homosexuality is in every part of this planet -- every continent, town and village.
Not all humans around the world view gay individuals as a threat to the good of the group.
