Donaldson says businesses improved

Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman William Donaldson said U.S. businesses have improved their corporate governance since Congress addressed accounting scandals by passing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act last year.
"More and more companies and their advisers seem to be channeling their energies into true compliance with the Act," Donaldson told the Senate Banking Committee in Washington today.
