Police seek help finding suspect

Gang officers with the Metro Police Department are seeking the public's help in identifying a person who shot and wounded a man Aug. 3 in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart store at 201 N. Nellis Blvd.
Police said the victim got into an argument with a man shortly after 10 p.m. The man pulled a handgun from his waistband, hit the victim in the head with the gun and shot the victim once in the chest, police said. The victim, who was not identified, survived the attack.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, about 20 years old, 5-feet-8 and 160 to 170 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call Metro's gang unit at 229-3309.
