Job workshop for teens planned
The Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a free workshop focusing on job skills for teens ages 15-18 from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Henderson Multigenerational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Parkway.
The workshop is developed and facilitated by a family therapist and provides a hands-on approach to helping teens find their strengths.
Discussion includes filling out job applications, polishing interview skills, and getting and keeping a job.

Children's entertainer Joanie Bartels
will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Silver Springs Recreation Center, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway. Bartels, who has been described as the "queen of children's music," performs sing-along and dance-along concerts throughout the world. Tickets are $8 for adults; $5 for youth and seniors.
