Man slain outside NLV store

North Las Vegas Police are investigating a homicide Thursday night of a 27-year-old man outside a NAPA Auto Parts store at 3274 Civic Center Drive.

People in the area heard gunshots about 8:20 p.m. and called police. When officers arrived they found the victim with several gunshot wounds in his chest, Officer Justin Roberts, spokesman for the police department, said.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center where he died about 12:30 a.m. The Clark County coroner's office had not released the man's identity as of this morning.

Detectives have not determined a motive and are still investigating. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call police at 633-9111 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
