Del Webb, a division of Pulte Homes, will develop the age-restricted portion of the Somersett master-planned golf community in west Reno. This is Del Webb's first project in the Reno market.
Del Webb has five master-planned communities in the Las Vegas area. Pulte Homes Inc., Del Webb's parent company based in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., is a major builder with Pulte-branded developments throughout Southern Nevada. Pulte does not have any communities in Northern Nevada.
Del Webb is purchasing about 300 acres within the 2,372-acre Somersett master plan to build about 850 single-family homes and recreational areas.
