Corinthian Colleges Inc. of Santa Ana, Calif., parent company of Las Vegas College, announced plans to open a second local campus in Henderson.
The company has leased 31,000 square feet of space at 170 N. Stephanie St., north of the Las Vegas Beltway. The new campus will provide degree programs in medical assisting, business administration and criminal justice. The new school -- which will cost about $1 million to establish -- is expected to serve 400 students within two years and is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
The existing Las Vegas College campus, at 4100 W. Flamingo Road near Valley View Boulevard, currently offers 12 educational programs and serves about 700 students.
