Water drive held at Palms
Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 | 9:53 a.m.
The Clark County Fire Department is collecting sealed containers of water to donate to emergency responders and others involved in the emergency efforts in California.
The water drive is being held at the Palms at 4321 W. Flamingo Road until the emergency passes, Bob Leinbach of the Clark County Fire Department said.
Leinbach said a semi-truck has been provided to transport the water. The county Fire Department has already sent one truck of water to Southern California and is filling up a second load.
The water donation station is generally open 24 hours, Leinbach said.
Leinbach added that those wanting to donate can also drop water off at any Clark County fire station between 7 a.m and 7 p.m.
Water bottles and containers must be sealed for donation.
