Advent company to develop LV project

Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 | 11:07 a.m.

The designer of the New York-New York hotel-casino has signed on to the development team for the 44-acre Premiere Park in the Las Vegas tourist district at the northwest corner of Paradise Road and Tropicana Avenue.

Mark Advent's ACV International LLC has joined with time share developer ILX Resorts Inc., Phoenix, and investor Axon Partners, Phoenix, to form Streets Las Vegas LLC to develop the property.

Advent said Monday that the partners are evaluating retail and entertainment mixed-use developments. He said there are no plans for a hotel-casino on the site, which he called "one of the premier sites in Las Vegas commercial development."

The new development would be adjacent to the 20-acre Greens of Las Vegas golf attraction built by ILX, which owns time share resorts in Arizona, Colorado and San Carlos, Mexico, and has an inventory of time share units at the Carriage House in Las Vegas.

ILX has a 50-year ground lease on the property from McCarran International Airport.
