WASHINGTON -- U.S. new-home sales edged down in September but sales nevertheless registered their third-highest level on record, a sign the housing market remains strong.
The Las Vegas Valley continued to see strong new-home sales in September, with 2,591 recorded sales, up from 2,183 in August, Home Builders Research reported.
The Commerce Department reported today that national new-home sales came in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.145 million in September, representing a small, 0.2 percent dip from the previous month.
