Lila Downs
Combining Mexican folk songs and American folk music, Lila Downs will perform at 8 p.m. today at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. Tickets are $12 the day of the performance and $10 in advance. 229-6383.
Violinists
Violin soloists from the Nevada School of the Arts will present a free afternoon of classical music at 3 p.m. Saturday at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd. 229-4800.
'Teen Rock Jam'
The City of North Las Vegas Parks & Recreation Department presents "Teen Rock Jam" from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Goynes Park at 3903 W. Washburn Road. The performance is part of the city's second annual Courtyard Concert Series and is free to the public. 633-1612.
Ensemble
The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department hosts a performance by the Juan L. Sanchez Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Valley View Recreation Center, 500 Harris St. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. 565-2367.
Chamber
The UNLV Chamber Orchestra will perform a free concert at 2:15 p.m. today in Room 160 of the Beam Music Center on the UNLV campus. 895-1575.
Prague orchestra
The Prague Chamber Orchestra & the Eroica Trio will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday at Artemus Ham Concert Hall on the UNLV campus as part of the Charles Vanda Master Series. Tickets are $40, $50 and $65. 895-1575.

'The Opera'
The Desert Springs Arts Chorale and Orchestra, Sierra Vista Madrigals and guests soloists will perform Italian opera choruses and arias at 7 p.m. today at Desert Spring United Methodist Church, 120 N. Pavilion Center Drive. Tickets are $10 general and $5 for seniors and children under 12. 256-5933.
Recital
