Anglers reported to the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) that fishing continued to be good throughout the upper basin.
Boaters continued to be successful for striped bass that ranged from 16-18 inches near Stewarts Point and Ann Marguret Cove. The fish were taken with anchovies. Largemouth bass continued to be taken in the area with crankbait and black plastic worms.
Echo Bay anglers said fishing picked up from the previous week. Striped bass that averaged 18 inches were taken with anchovies near the exposed sandbars.
Boaters fishing north of Cottonwood Cove reported very good success for striped bass. Over a two-day period, 119 stripers that measured less than 20 inches were landed. The fish were caught by trolling slowly at depths of 45-60 feet. Anchovies and squid landed the fish.
