Lawrence Anderson

Lawrence Anderson, 77, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. A maintenance engineer, he was born Oct. 8, 1926, in Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Laura; two sons, Lester E. Anderson and Leonard LeRoy Anderson, and one daughter, Lucia G. Anderson, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Lucia A. and Robert W. Anderson; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. Friday in Henderson Presbyterian Church, 601 N. Major Ave. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

John L. Blankenship

John L. Blankenship, 60, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for nine years, he was a real estate broker.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta J. and family.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in California. Palm Springs Mausoleum, Cathedral City, Calif., is handling arrangements.

Joseph John Buckley

Joseph John Buckley, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. He was born Feb. 11, 1930, in the Bronx, N.Y. He was corporate director of human resources for Howard Hughes/Summa Corp., founder and director of the Nevada Resort Association Health Care Inc., human resources director and vice president of United Title of Nevada, appointed to the Governor's Committee to Employ the Handicapped, was a Navy veteran, district governor of Rotary International, a board member of Community College of Southern Nevada and member of the UNLV Football Foundation.

He is survived by his wife, Liz; three daughters, Cathy Hoffman of Norwood, Colo., and Judy Harris and Jennifer Hitt, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Marie and Corinne; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1711 E. Flamingo Road, Suite 213A, Las Vegas, NV 89119, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Football Foundation, 4505 S. James Clemons

James Clemons, 68, of Las Vegas died Oct. 15 in a local hospital. He was born May 16, 1935, in Coahoma, Miss. A resident for 37 years, he was a REECo employee at the Nevada Test Site for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Mae; two sons, James Clemons Jr. and Charles Clemons, both of St. Louis; four daughters, Mary Clemons of St. Louis and Aretha Clemons, Cynthia Clemons and Keisha Clemons, all of Las Vegas; five brothers, Pink Clemons, Andrew Clemons and Johnny Clemons, all of Las Vegas, and Fred Clemons and Henry Clemons, both of St. Louis; four sisters, Aretha Word, Rosetta Houston and Rose Clemons, all of St. Louis, and Cecelia Clemons of Las Vegas; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 6 p.m. today at Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Services will be noon Friday at Harrison-Ross.

Cleo Fern Cope

Cleo Fern Cope, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 7, 1923, in Sapulpa, Okla. A resident for 58 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Pettit of Las Vegas; two stepsons, William Daley of Thayne, Wyo., and John Daley of Las Vegas; two brothers, Vernon Young of Kansas, Okla., and Dick Young of Anderson, Ind.; two sisters, Joyce Henze and Norma Welch, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Marge Corbin

Marge Corbin, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 10, 1920, in Katoomba, Australia. A resident for 53 years, she was a retired nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Chris; one daughter, Patricia Meinert of Salem, Ore.; one son, John Corbin of Richland, Wash.; three sisters, Rae Myers of Cairns, Australia, and Betty Cooper and Barbara Coad, both of Sidney, Australia; one brother, John Cooper of Sidney; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Marva Davis

Marva Davis, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 24, 1937, in El Dorado, Ark. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired schoolteacher, a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and Marvelous Marva Club.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Jr.; four daughters, Evelyn Reeves of Dallas, Karen Randolph and Alesia Davis, both of Las Vegas, and Sybil Davis-Mayweather of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sons, Byron Davis and Albert C. Davis, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Beatrice Meeks, and one brother, Michael Meeks, both of El Dorado; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in First African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2450 Revere St., North Las Vegas.

Frank Dell'Orfano

Frank Dell'Orfano, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 2, 1920, in Boston. A resident for two years, he was a superintendent of public works in Massachusetts and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edythe M.; three sons, David D. Dell'Orfano of Las Vegas, Ralph W. Dell'Orfano of Reading, Mass., and Frank Dell'Orfano Jr. of North Andover, Mass.; two brothers, George Dell of Saugus, Mass., and William Dell'Orfano of Everett, Mass.; three sisters, Betty Clayton of Melrose, Mass., Eva Miller of Cambridge, Mass., and Helen Stutes of Orange, Texas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2:15 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Adriana Lauzon

Adriana Lauzon, 13, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 23, 1990, in Harris, N.Y. A resident for two years, she was a student at Cannarelli Middle School.

She is survived by her father, Bob Lauzon of Harris; her mother, Maryann Belanchia, one brother, Michael Lauzon, and one sister, Ashley Lauzon, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Rudolph Belanchia of Liberty, N.Y., and Irma Laplant of New York state.

Visitation is scheduled noon until a 6 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Lueverna Page Macklin

Lueverna Page Macklin, 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 25, 1947, in Louisiana. A resident for 38 years, she was a dietitian at a local hospital.

She is survived by one son, Gary Macklin, and one daughter, Lysandra Macklin, both of North Las Vegas; three brothers, Leon Page of Las Vegas, Jesse Hunter of Arkansas and Leotis Page of Texas; three sisters, Viola White of Las Vegas, Matra Williams of Louisiana and Shirley Jones of Arkansas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 911 N. G St. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Deneen Pickenpack

Deneen Pickenpack, 39, of Las Vegas died Sept. 6 in Las Vegas. She was born April 18, 1964, in Chicago. A resident for four years, she was a bus driver for the handicapped.

She is survived by one daughter, Sondra McNary, two sons, Devin Pickenpack and Develle Pickenpack, her mother, Sondra Pickenpack, and two sisters, Donna Otkins-Norfleet and Dana Otkins, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Corinne C. Risdon

Corinne C. Risdon, 93, of Las Vegas died Oct. 12 in a local care center. A teacher, she was born Oct. 10, 1910, in North Carolina.

She is survived by one son, Ernest Risdon of Germany; and one granddaughter, Terry Risdon of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Maye H. Vaughn

Maye H. Vaughn, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 19, 1915, in Utah. A resident for one year, she was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by one son, Larry M. Vaughn of Safford, Ariz.; four daughters, Frances R. Long of Morrilton, Ark., Inga M. Schalk of Winfield, Mass., Carla J. West of Bristow, Va., and Eddie Jo Goodwin of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Ethel T. Williams

Ethel T. Williams, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 22, 1926, in Texas. A resident for 11 years, she was a social worker for the county government.

She is survived by one daughter, Edwina Richardson; one brother, Reginald Threadgill; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Juanita Wring

Juanita Wring, 83, of Rio Oso, Calif., died Sunday in Rio Oso. She was born Aug. 29, 1920, in Pocatello, Idaho. A former Las Vegas resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Ted Wring of Las Vegas; three daughters, Norma Walters of California and Barbara Wilkes and Carol Carter, both of Idaho; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Calico Ridge LDS Ward.
