Red Rock Day needs volunteers
Volunteers are needed for the annual Red Rock Day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
Work projects will include: fence building, handicap access to trailhead, painting, camp ground tent pads, trail repair and removal, landscape improvement, and trash pick-up.
Volunteers will be divided into groups and assigned a project with a trained work leader. A short training session will be held for participants on how to work in Red Rock Canyon's sensitive environment, how to use two-way radios to communicate with event officials, and basic safety procedures.
All participants will receive a barbecue lunch.
Call Jim Cribbs or Scott Bahan at 515-5350 or Chuck Williams at 255-8743 to sign up.
Kids invited to safety rodeo

Children will also be able to play with Otto the Auto, an interactive talking robot.
The event is free to the public. You do not have to be a AAA member to attend.
