GREENVILLE, Miss. -- The Mississippi Gaming Commission is expected to approve proposals for two new casinos for Greenville during its regular meeting today.
The Gulfport-based Delta Blues Casino LLC plans to build on the former Chicago Mill property on Lake Ferguson. Plans call for a casino, hotel, blues museum, water park and a meeting facility.
S.W. Gaming LLC is also seeking site approval for a casino on the Mississippi River between the U.S. 82 bridge and the new bridge under construction.
Also on the commission's agenda is the purchase of Harrah's Casino in Vicksburg by the owners of Greenville's two existing floating gambling halls, the Lighthouse Point Casino and the Jubilee Casino.
All three requests are expected to be approved today, said Lee Ann Wilkins, commission spokeswoman.
