Guitar soloist
Pat Donohue, the guitarist for Prairie Home Companion, brings his guitar to Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, at 7 p.m. today for a wide-ranging concert of American musical styles. Tickets are $15 general, $7 for Guitar Society and Jazz Society members. 455-7340.
Perla Batalla
Mexican-American singer Perla Batalla will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Jeanne Roberts Theatre for Performing Arts at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. 229-6383.
Musical duo
Tony Arias and Lloyd Zeil, who have been headliners at Caesars Magical Empire and toured the country with their show of songs and repartee, help the Performing Arts Society of Nevada celebrate its 13th anniversary of Brown Bag Concerts at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. Symphony
The Henderson Civic Symphony will celebrate the opening of its 17th season with a free performance at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Pkwy. 565-2367.
Free concert
The UNLV Symphony Orchestra will perform its first concert of the 2003-04 season at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Artemus Ham Hall on the UNLV campus. Admission is free. 895-1575.
Jazz concert
The University Forum presents a free jazz concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Doc Rando Recital Hall on the UNLV campus. 895-1575.
Cerberus Trio
The Cerberus Trio performs Beethoven's "Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 70, No. 2" and Anton Arensky's "Trio in D. Minor, Op. 32, No. 1" from noon to 1 p.m. today at the Lloyd D. George Federal Courthouse, 333 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Admission is free, and visitors are invited to bring a sack lunch. 229-6328.
Swank set
Art Vargas and the Swank Set will perform music from the '40s, '50s and '60s at a free lunchtime concert from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at Frank Wright Plaza, on the northwest corner of 4th Street and Stewart Avenue. Sack lunches are permitted. 229-4614.
Fund-raiser
Janis Carter and the Jazz Cats will perform from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Castaways Casino Hotel on Boulder Highway. Tickets are $15, and proceeds partially benefit the Joe Williams Music Scholarship Fund at Community College of Southern Nevada. 391-4634.
Amateur night
The Beach is now hosting a "Local Band Night" at 9 p.m. every Thursday at 365 Convention Center Drive. The event is free for both participating bands and patrons. 731-1925.

'Drive'
The Nevada Conservatory Theatre presents the play "How I Learned to Drive" at 8 p.m. today, Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Black Box Theatre on the UNLV campus. Tickets are $25. 895-1575.
'Angry Inch'
The Nevada Theatre Company will stage "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" at 8 p.m. today and Saturday at the Nevada Theatre Company, 2928 Lake East Drive. Tickets are $15 general and $12 for students. 873-0191.
'This Island'
