Letter: Bush getting tax refund kickbacks
Friday, Oct. 17, 2003 | 9:23 a.m.
The Oct. 14 headline in the Sun, "Bush's coffers growing," doesn't state this sad fact: The cash the president is "raising" for his re-election is merely his kickback from the huge tax refunds he's been giving his favored friends.
This money came out of the surplus he inherited from President Clinton, and will saddle present and future middle-class taxpayers with debt. We, the citizens of this great country, will pay the price.
