Alfred 'Al' Alcalde
Alfred "Al" Alcalde, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 25, 1924, in Peru. A resident for eight years, he was a retired bellman and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lillian; and three brothers, Carlos Alcalde, Hector Alcalde and Amilcar Alcalde, all of California.
Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday in St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4519 Simmons St., North Las Vegas. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
Frank Devereux
Frank Devereux, 88, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local nursing home. An automotive mechanic and a veteran, he was born Feb. 17, 1915, in Lewiston, Maine.
He is survived by one son, Edwin Devereux of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Sandra Theriault of Mechanicsville, Va.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Evelyn Alice Dey
Evelyn Alice Dey, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1926, in California. A resident for 11 years, she was a PBX operator at Circus Circus.
She is survived by four daughters, Janet Sandlin of Bakersfield, Calif., Julie Treide of Las Vegas, Nancy Cramblett of Yuba City, Calif., and Laurie Perner of California; one son, Michael Koenig of New Castle, Pa.; two stepsons, Harold Dey and Richard Dey, both of Las Vegas; and one stepdaughter, Bonnie Dey of Mission Viejo, Calif.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Bakersfield. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
James L. Evans
James L. Evans, 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 4, 1947, in Geneva, Ohio. A resident for nine years, he was a certified welder for Las Vegas Paving Co., a Navy veteran and a member of Local 12.
He is survived by his wife, Diana R.; two sons, Marty J. Evans of Henderson and James M. Evans of Las Vegas; four brothers, Charles Evans and John Evans, both of California, Daniel Evans of Texas and Don Evans of Kansas; two sisters, Sharon Johns of Texas and Ruth Ahwah of Hawaii; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Rosa Garcia
Rosa Garcia, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Havana. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Franklin Garcia of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Carvel E. Graves Jr.
Carvel E. Graves Jr., 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 24, 1943, in Fountain Head, Tenn. A resident for two years, he was a carpenter for a commercial construction company and a member of Carpenters Local 758.
He is survived by his wife, Ida M.; one son, Shawn M. Graves of Indianapolis; three daughters, Gena M. Patterson of Mooresville, Ind., Tena M. Stout of Martinsville, Ind., and Muffy Graves of Las Vegas; two brothers, Raymond Busch of Poland, Ind., and Kenneth Graves of Brunswick, Ohio; one sister, Martha Sitton of Greenfield, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Ira R. Hartwell
Ira R. Hartwell, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1947, in Barstow, Calif. A resident for one year, he was a retired maintenance man.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; one son, Eric Hartwell of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one daughter, Amy Thornton of Las Vegas; his mother, Floy Hartwell, and one brother, Matthew Hartwell, both of Prescott, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park.
Robert H. Hornstein
Robert H. Hornstein, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Glen Ellyn, Ill. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired field engineer for National Cash Register Co., a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Masons.
He is survived by one son, Robert Hornstein of Las Vegas; and one sister, Claire Wagner of Chicago.

Rod M. MacIntyre
Rod M. MacIntyre, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born May 5, 1935, in New York. A resident for 10 years, he was a swimming pool salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Fran M.; one son, James Blackwell; one daughter, Cynthia Blackwell; and four grandchildren.

Hazle W. Nordblom
Hazle W. Nordblom, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a health care center. She was born July 30, 1918, in Fort Worth, Texa. She was a retired schoolteacher, a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, National Education Association and the Texas chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star,.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula Anderson, one son, Nick Nordblom, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Oct. 22 in Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Daniel D. Page
Daniel D. Page, 8 weeks, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 16, 2003, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his father, Erick Page, and his mother, Jaslyn Glass, both of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Gwen Stevens and Leon Culpper, both of North Las Vegas, and Jasper Johnson of Las Vegas; and his great-grandparents, Frank and Rosie Glass of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Irma Reynaga-Beltran
Irma Reynaga-Beltran, 21, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1982, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, she was a hotel guest services representative.
She is survived by her parents, Debbie and Jorge Beltran; her fiance, Carl Littles; one daughter, Mia Littles; and three brothers, Eric Suarez, Chris Suarez and Jorge Beltran.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Allen Truitt Spivey
Allen Truitt Spivey, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 17, 1918, in Texas. A resident for 23 years, he was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Delauris.
Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Andrew Lee Turner
Andrew Lee Turner, 61, of Las Vegas died Oct. 8 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 28, 1942, in Louisiana. A resident for 53 years, he was a construction worker.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Rochelle Jackson and Latoya Turner, one son, Andrew Turner Jr., and six sisters, Edna Anderson, Bernice McGee, Margarette Porter, Lilly Banks, Mildred Turner and Ethel Johnson, all of Las Vegas; 11 brothers, Elvin Turner, Joseph Turner, James Turner, Jeffery Turner, Rosevelt Turner, Albert Turner, Percy Turner, Allen Turner, Sylvester Turner and Willie Turner, all of Las Vegas and Jerry Turner of Kansas City, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. A private burial will follow.
Glenn V. Veatch
Glenn V. Veatch, 73, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 16, 1930, in Plainville, Texas. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired firefighter, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by two daughters, Catherine V. Corwin of Mesa, Ariz., and Suzanne Wright; one brother, Kenneth Veatch of Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson

Clyde W. Wade Jr.
Clyde W. Wade Jr., 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 22, 1940, in Martinsville, Va. A resident for six years, he was an engineer for a manufacturing firm and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean; one daughter, Christa Duffer of Linden, N.C.; one stepson, Dr. Michael Tiffany of Kenosha, Wis.; two stepdaughters, Andrea Paszek of Madison and Holli Dixon of Waunakee, Wis.; one brother, David Wade of Greensboro, N.C.; three sisters, Joan Wade of Pensacola, Fla., Sharon Williams of Abenton, N.C., and Dale Stiner of Charleston, S.C.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in the LDS chapel, 7401 Smoke Ranch Road at Buffalo Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

George Russell White, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born Oct. 23, 1914, in Los Gatos, Calif. A resident for three years, he was a retired grocery store owner-operator and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Henrietta; and one nephew, Jon J. Pound of Las Vegas.
