Galo Humberto Andrade

Galo Humberto Andrade, 49, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 26, 1954, in Arenillas, Ecuador. A resident for three years, he was a contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Rosario Salas; one daughter, Stephenie Andrade of La Puente, Calif.; and two sons, Gary Salas and Marcos Lopez, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

John Bilo

John Bilo, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 3, 1923, in Detroit. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired slot manager for a gaming company and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Hendrickson and Joyce Clatterbuck, both of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to a 10:30 a.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

The family suggests donations to St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89117.

Martin Lewis Burris Jr.

Martin Lewis Burris Jr., 35, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 27, 1967, in Albuquerque. A resident for one year, he was a self-employed computer technician.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and one son, Jonathan Woodbury, both of Beaver Creek, Ore.; one daughter, Melanie Renee Burris, his parents, Jeanne and Martin Lewis Sr., and two sisters, Rosemary Ramirez and Stephanie Burris, all of Carlsbad, N.M.; and two brothers, David Burris of Dinuba, Calif., and Jan Burris of Las Vegas.

Services will be in New Mexico. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

William Robert DeFoor

William Robert DeFoor, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 17, 1925, in Steubenville, Ohio. A resident for 20 years, he was diesel electrician at Wierton Steel for 25 years and a World War II Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by one son, William DeFoor.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi; two sons, Douglas Bruce DeFoor of New Jersey and Richard Allen DeFoor of Las Vegas; one daughter, Margit Walker of San Jose, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 5 p.m. today in Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1. Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Donald J. Edwards

Donald J. Edwards, 56, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 29, 1947, in Lawrence, Mich. A resident for six years, he was a limo driver, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; one daughter, Ann Edwards of Las Vegas; his mother, Donnie Edwards of Odenville, Ala.; and one sister, Nona Johnson of Alabama.

Services will be noon Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Erich Frick

Erich Frick, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 5, 1912, in Germany. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired painter and a member of the Painters Trust of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Erna; one daughter, Marianne Collins of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Myrna Hurick

Myrna Hurick, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 14, 1938, in Miles City, Mont. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired medical secretary.

She is survived by two sons, Cameron Hurick of Las Vegas and Galen Irish of Rapid City, S.D.; two daughters, Lorelei Ruff and Shannon Jaramillo, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Margaret Kransky of Miles City; three sisters, Ellen Zielie of Billings, Mont., Alma Miller of Bangs, Texas, and Betty Riley of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Larry Tucker of Miles City and Richard Tucker of Billings; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and noon until a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

John J. Jappe

John J. Jappe, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Big Sandy, Mont. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired Nevada Test Site electrician and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Victoria A. Bentley, and one son, Richard Jappe, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in First Southern Baptist Church, 4400 W. Oakey Blvd. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Manuel Guinto Landas

Manuel Guinto Landas, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. Retired from the Navy and a Vietnam War veteran, he was born Oct. 5, 1933, in Cavite, Philippines.

He is survived by his wife, Anita C.; two daughters, Alona Landas and Marykris Landas, both of Las Vegas; and one son, Alfred Landas of Pleasanton, Calif.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive.

Madeline Rivet Morrison

Madeline Rivet Morrison, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born July 4, 1924, in Minnesota. A resident for 13 years, she was an executive manager of rental property.

She is survived by her husband, George P. Sr.; two sons, George Jr. and Louis; one daughter, Kathleen Ryel; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

K. Katherine Osborne

K. Katherine Osborne, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Los Angeles. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Marshall of Dublin, Ohio, and Janet Dircksen of Cridersville, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

Frances Padilla

Frances Padilla, 87, of Henderson died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born July 7, 1916, in Mosquero, N.M. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by two daughters, Viola Medina and Mary Lou Marquez, both of Henderson; three sisters, Lydia Garcia and Veronica Sewell, both of Espanola, N.M., and Beatrice Sandoval of Albuquerque; four brothers, Joe Garcia of Espanola, Ralph Garcia of Albuquerque, Sisto Garcia of Fairview, N.M., and Orlando Garcia of Henderson; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Elva W. Richardson

Elva W. Richardson, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 3, 1918, in Dubuque, Iowa. A resident for three years, she was a retired schoolteacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Richardson of Provo, Utah; three sons, Sullivan Richardson of Henderson, David Richardson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Stephen Richardson of Redmond, Wash.; four sisters; one brother; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Alfonso P. Tafoya

Alfonso P. Tafoya, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. A retired foreman in the field of education and a Korean War Air Force veteran, he was born Oct. 23, 1933, in Albuquerque.

He is survived by two daughters, Yvette Leyba of Albuquerque and Rosella Tafoya-Cedillo of Denver; and two sons, Alfonso Bobby Tafoya Jr. of Albuquerque and Daniel Joseph Tafoya of Las Vegas.
