Film series

Renaissance fest

Clark County Parks & Community Services presents the state of Nevada's largest Renaissance Festival today, Saturday and Sunday at Sunset Park, at the corner of Sunset Road and Eastern Avenue. The event includes royal parades, one-act Shakespearean plays, full-contact jousting tournaments, no-holds-barred gladiator battles, minstrels, magicians and much more. Joy Ride

Pat Clark Motorsports, 2495 E. Sahara Ave., sponsors the first "Joy Ride" fund-raiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Admission to the event, which consists of a 50-mile ride and road rally starting at the dealership, is $25. 432-0650.

Book signing

Festival

Latin cultures

Lecture

Open house

The public is invited to celebrate the grand re-opening of the newly remodeled Jeanne Roberts Theatre with an open house and craft fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Basque festival

The Las Vegas Basque Club sponsors the annual Lagun Onak Las Vegas Basque Festival from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park.
