BMW, tractor-trailer crash in Sloan

A BMW speeding along Interstate 15 near Sloan whizzed underneath an 18-wheel tractor-trailer merging onto the highway this morning, but no one was seriously hurt, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

The incident occurred about 5:15 a.m. Highway Patrol spokeswoman Trooper Angie Wolff said the car was going at a high rate of speed as the tractor-trailer merged onto the highway from an entrance ramp. The tractor-trailer went all the way across the lanes of the highway, completely passing over the BMW.

Two people in the car suffered minor injuries and the truck driver wasn't hurt. The driver of the car was cited.
