Wells Fargo Bank is closing its branch in the Albertsons store at 6850 W. Spring Mountain Road, at Rainbow Boulevard, on Nov. 4.
Wells Fargo is closing the branch because of a 55 percent reduction in foot traffic after Albertsons opened a store at the nearby corner of Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard, said Doris Charles, Wells Fargo's community banking president for Southern Nevada.
She said there are four other Wells Fargo branches within five miles of the Albertsons location in the western Las Vegas Valley, including three that opened in the past year.
An Albertsons executive said he was unaware of any immediate plans for another financial institution to operate in the store.
