PHOENIX -- Mesa Air Group, one of the nation's largest independent regional airlines, offered Monday to buy Atlantic Coast Airlines for $512 million in stock.
If successful, the unsolicited bid could help resolve United Airlines' potential loss of its partnership with Atlantic Coast at Washington's Dulles International Airport. In July, Atlantic Coast CEO Kerry Skeen said ACA would end that relationship when United emerges from bankruptcy protection.
