Letter: Telemarketers’ ads misleading
Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003 | 8:36 a.m.
I am so sick of seeing local telemarketing company ads in employment magazines promising sign-on bonuses of $200 or more. I know from personal experience that they are lying to people.
It is a bait-and-switch ploy. You do not get $200 when you sign papers agreeing to work for them! You sign papers, instead, to get the bonus if you do 140 or more deals in your first month.
