Spring Valley Hospital opened Thursday afternoon after a one-day delay.
The 176-private room hospital was scheduled to open Wednesday, but was awaiting its license from the Nevada State Health Division.
The hospital is at 5400 S. Rainbow Blvd. and is the first of three hospitals planned for the southwest valley.
