Peter Baley, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. An author, he was born Jan. 29, 1912, in the Ukraine.

He is survived by one son, Virkio Baley of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be in Los Angeles. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Joseph Bergen

Joseph Bergen, 20, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born June 8, 1983, in Trenton, N.J. A lifelong resident, he was an assistant manager for an art and framing store and a 2001 graduate of Cimarron-Memorial High School.

He is survived by his parents, Nancy and John Bergen of Las Vegas; and one brother, Matthew Bergen of Casper, Wyo.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Mary A. Bruno

Mary A. Bruno, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 25, 1913, in Knoxville, Tenn. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one child, Billie Stockton of Las Vegas; one sister, Ruth C. Kuhlo of Knoxville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Marilyn Y. Carter

Marilyn Y. Carter, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 15, 1943, in Jackson, Mich. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired cosmetologist.

She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Carter and Dana Stegemann, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Barbara Lee of Fox, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Gladys E. Christian

Gladys E. Christian, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Kennett, Mo. A resident for 61 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Desert Inn Country Club, Rotary Club and Mesquite Club.

She is survived by one brother, Malcolm Greenway of Alaska; and two grandsons, Barry Roland and Mark Roland, both of Las Vegas; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Muriel E. DuMay

Muriel E. DuMay, 75, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born June 24, 1928, in Shannon, Mo. A resident for three years, she was a retired teacher.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Siewers and Lisa Sich, both of Henderson; one son, Kevyn DuMay of Plymouth, Minn.; one sister, Lillian Trinnich of Fontana, Calif.; three brothers, Marshall Chitwood of Gallup, N.M., Melvin Chitwood of Richland, Mo., and Stanley Chitwood of Ellington, Mo.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was scheduled from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Dolores M. Espinoza

Dolores M. Espinoza, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 22, 1918, in Texas. A resident for five years, he was a retired chef.

He is survived by one daughter, Margie Canez; one brother, Trinidad Espinosa; one sister, Hortencia Trevino; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Francis H. 'Frank' Grode

Francis H. "Frank" Grode, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 8, 1922, in Webster, S.D. A resident for seven years, he was a retired aerospace reproduction supervisor, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; one daughter, Stephanie Kahler of Tucson; one son, Brian Grode of Laguna Hills, Calif.; two sisters, Leona Snowden of Anaheim, Calif., and Rita Verholtz of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Bert Grode of Dallas, Ore.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Leo J. Kubus

Leo J. Kubus, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born March 15, 1915, in Detroit. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired truck driver for the city government and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Reneta; one daughter, Linda Sooudi of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. until a 7 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Mary V. Mullen

Mary V. Mullen, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 15, 1935, in Schenectady, N.Y. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired casino promotions coordinator.

She is survived by one daughter, Maureen Hicks of Las Vegas; one sister, Lorraine Marczewski of Schenectady; one brother, Stanley Van Wormer of Burlington, Vt.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Graveside services will follow at 10:40 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Helen Lorrraine Murray

Helen Lorrraine Murray, 70, of Pahrump died Sept. 24 in Henderson. She was born Aug. 1, 1933, in Illinois. A resident for 48 years, she owned and operated a landscaping company, and was a past member of the Realty Board.

She is survived by one son, Richard Murray of Pahrump; one daughter, Cindy Buckner of Texas; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Patricia Ann Oliver

Patricia Anm Oliver, 76, of Pahrump died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for six months, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Dan Flanigan of Kansas City, Mark Oliver of Pahrump and John Oliver of Las Vegas; one daughter, Micki Basile of Kansas City; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services and burial will be in Kansas City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Gloriajoyce Page, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1925, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired attorney.

She is survived by two sons, Roger Page of Pahrump and Gordon Page of Saxonburg, Pa.; and one brother, Stanley Lowy of College Station, Texas.

Uler P. Pamplin

Uler P. Pamplin, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 15, 1929, in Wilmar, Ark. A resident for 55 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Jennie Cherry, Rhyonnye Drumgole and Velda Jackson, two sons, Macon L. Jackson and John D. Pamplin, and two sisters, Ruby Rawls and Gladys Rawls, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Paul Rawls and James Rawls, both of Detroit; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be at noon Friday in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1189 Hassell Ave., followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Eva H. Pushard

Eva H. Pushard, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 3, 1930, in Bath, Maine. A resident for 49 years, she was a retired dental hygienist.

She is survived by her husband, Doug; one daughter, Sandra Barth of Las Vegas; three sons, Doug Pushard II of Austin, Texas, Russell Pushard of Las Vegas and Aydin Onur of San Jose, Calif.; her stepmother, Isabelle Temm of Windham, Maine; two brothers, Kenneth Temm of Gorham, Maine, and Dennise Temm of Raymond, Maine; one sister, Lois King of Jay, Maine; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Anne Marie Roman, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 26, 1933, in Minnesota. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired restaurant hostess and a Navy veteran.

She is survived by her husband, Capt. Fred D. Roman; two sons, Fred Roman and Kenneth Roman; two daughters, Sharon Godino and Frances Chamberlain; one brother, Lewis Chumich; three sisters, Olga Lukovsky, Millie Gozansky and Ruby Sodenberg; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Louis Harry Sabetsky

Louis Harry Sabetsky, 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 3, 1913, in New York. A resident for 14 years, he was a painter, and volunteer for the Nevada SPCA.

He is survived by one daughter, Margaret Lee "Peggie" Flaim; one brother, Ralph Sabet; one sister, Sarah Goldstien; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Nevada SPAC Cat Condo area, 480 W. Dewey Drive. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Ronald B. Verna

Ronald B. Verna, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 30, 1930, in Illinois. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired U.S. Postal Service letter carrier and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; one brother, Jim; and one sister, Shirley Catenacci.
