The death of a 70-year-old man whose body was found Saturday inside his Spanish Trail home is being investigated as a homicide, Metro Police said.
The man's family contacted police because they hadn't heard from him in several days, Lt. Tom Monahan of Metro's homicide unit said. A security officer found his body.
A small fire had been set near where the man's body was found and detectives are investigating whether it had been set to conceal evidence.
Monahan declined to say whether there was any sign of forced entry. The man's name was withheld this morning.
