Salvation Army fashion show set
The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary will present its seventh annual fall luncheon and fashion show beginning at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Suncoast.
The event will include a silent auction, luncheon, fashion show and entertainment.
Donation is $40.

Rides on Boulder train available
The Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City this weekend will provide visitors with excursion train rides, exhibitions and public programming that explore the impact of the railroad in the early development of Southern Nevada.
As part of the annual Art-in-the-Park weekend, the museum plans to operate four 45-minute round trip excursions on the historic Boulder Branch Line from Boulder City to Railroad Pass, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are $5; $4 for seniors; $3 for children ages 6-11; children 5 and under ride for free.

Cancer Society will host benefit walk
The American Cancer Society will host its fourth annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday at JW Marriott, 221 N. Rampart Blvd.
There is no pre-registration fee for Making Strides. Participants should ask their friends, family and co-workers to walk with them or to make a donation to their team. All participants must register on the morning of the event and bring their donations with them.

Church to hold annual bazaar
St. Christopher's Catholic Church is holding its annual bazaar 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the church, 1840 N. Bruce St., between Owens Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard.
The bazaar will feature entertainment, carnival rides, food and a raffle.
Raffle tickets are $1 apiece and are for top prizes of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 cash and other prizes. For more information, call 642-1154.
John Ross, author of the controversial book
"Unintended Consequences," historical fiction about the "Gun Culture" of America, will be speaking in addition to signing copies of his book from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Admission is $5. Call 591-7211.
