KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Sprint Corp., the third-biggest U.S. long-distance telephone company, today said it will cut 2,000 jobs this quarter, or nearly 3 percent of its work force, including 78 in Southern Nevada.
The cuts will come from the business and consumer wireline and wireless units, Sprint said in a statement.
Detra Page, a spokeswoman for Sprint in Las Vegas, said the local cuts are at all levels but said no local top executives were affected, or are leaving.
