Thomas Andrew Baggett

Thomas Andrew Baggett, 17, of Las Vegas died Nov. 14 in Las Vegas. He was born March 10, 1986, in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. A resident for 16 years, he was a student and a skateboarder.

He is survived by his father, Brad Baggett of Las Vegas; his mother, Kristine Springer, and one brother, Dillon Springer, both of Henderson; four sisters, Jeannine Walker and Melissa Baggett, both of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Leanne Hall and Autumn Rose Springer, both of Henderson; and his two grandmothers, Alice (Glenn) McCawley of Las Vegas and Ruth Fransico of Florida.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Louis A. Caloia

Louis A. Caloia, 88, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 5, 1915, in Detroit. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired millwright for an auto parts manufacturer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia A.; one daughter, Constance I. Kast of Henderson; three sons, Louis L. Caloia of Diamond Springs, Calif., James J. Wolf of Farmington Hills, Mich., and Paul F. Caloia of Holly, Mich.; two brothers, Lawrence Caloia of Henderson and George A. Caloia of North Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Carol Charette

Carol Charette, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1937, in New York. A resident for nine months, she was a food server.

She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Charette, and one son, Joseph Charette, both of Phoenix; three brothers; three sisters; and one granddaughter.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Albert R. Chase

Albert R. Chase, 58, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 14, 1945, in Newellton, La. A resident for 42 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by seven sisters, Hazel Walker, Annie Lucas, Carol Malone, Lizzie Green, Melissa Williams, Utricia Thomas and Martha Hijazi, and five brothers, John Thomas, Michael Thomas, Wet Thomas, Jake Thomas, J.T. Thomas Jr., and his special friend, Minnie, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Luis V. Coco

Luis V. Coco, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Arroya Seco, N.M. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired casino pit boss and Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Patty Allen of Las Vegas; five sons, Richard Coca of Savannah, Ga., Luis Coca Jr. of Minot, N.D., Anthony Coca and Kenneth Coca, both of Las Vegas, and Michael Coca of Columbia, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Lorraine D. Ellis

Lorraine D. Ellis, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 29, 1931, in Massachusetts. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, James N. Ellis Jr. and Jerry E. Ellis; two daughters, Janet R. Elkind and Julie M. Anable; one brother, George "Curley" Monroe; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Clayton Evans

Clayton Evans, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 16, 1922, in Vado, N.M. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired security officer, a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran and a member of Plumbers Local 412.

He is survived by his wife, Rita B.; and one sister, Mildred Lynn of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Esther E. Hamelin

Esther E. Hamelin, 68, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born April 21, 1935, in Springfield, Mass. A resident for four years, she was a retired office supply clerk.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L.; one son, John Christopher Hamelin, and one daughter, Lisa Marie Hamelin, both of Henderson; and one brother, Henry M. Dobek Jr. of Ludlow, Mass.

Graveside services are scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday. in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Bessie 'Betty' Koukel

Bessie "Betty" Koukel, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 26, 1921, in New Brunswick, N.J. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Creasey and Donna Koukel, and one son, Lawrence Koukel, all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Charles L. Kubik

Charles L. Kubik, 49, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 23, 1954, in California. A resident for 49 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by one son, Ryan C. Kubik of Las Vegas; one daughter, Julia M. Kubik of California; his father, Lyle Kubik of Arizona; and one brother, Keith Kubik of Seattle.

Joan Laurie

Joan Laurie, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Chicago. A resident for six years, she was an administrative assistant for the Illinois Senate.

She is survived by one daughter, Marcia Wright of Las Vegas; two sons, Jim Laurie of Las Vegas and Frank Laurie of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

John H. Logan

John H. Logan, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1932, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired electrician and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; two daughters, Lisa Bianco of Florida and Tammy Hahn of Las Vegas; five sons, John Logan of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jerry Smith of Reno and Gary Smith, Larry Smith and Jeff Logan, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Virginia Jarrett and Donna Hahn, both of Las Vegas, and Midge Cole of Washington state; and one brother, David Logan of California.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Charlie Hilton Medlin

Charlie Hilton Medlin, 58, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 20, 1944, in Hobbs, N.M.

He is survived by two sisters, Marty Merritt of Valdosta, Ga., and Patsy Henderson of Gallup, N.M.

C. George 'Smiley' Nichols

C. George "Smiley" Nichols, 61, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born March 1, 1942, in Birmingham, Ala. A resident for 14 years, he co-owned a company of manufacturers' representatives, was a member of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors and various other industry organizations.

He is survived by his wife, Dot; two sons, Chris Nichols Jr. of Phoenix and Kevin Nichols of San Francisco; two brothers, Larry Nichols of Birmingham and Ron Nichols of Springville, Ala.; and one sister, Anna Lu Hemphill of Birmingham.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 5 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Alfredo Mutuc Rodriguez

Alfredo Mutuc Rodriguez, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 17, 1923, in the Philippines. A resident for 23 years, he was a casino porter.

He is survived by his wife, Perla; five daughters, Miriam Cruz of the Philippines and Rachel Rodriguez, April Rodriguez, Rachel Case and Ruth Skarda, all of Las Vegas; seven sons, Jonathan Rodriguez, Jessie Rodriguez, Al Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez, Alan Rodriguez and Alma Rodriguez, all of Las Vegas, and Joel Rodriguez of the Philippines.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Donna Romero

Donna Romero, 61, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born May 12, 1942, in York Village, Maine. A resident for seven years, she was a retired police officer.

She is survived by her husband, Ray; one daughter, Susan Romero-Mills of Modesto, Calif.; one son, Richard Romero of Boston; and one grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Pascal Tamilio

Pascal Tamilio, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 17, 1933, in Montreal. A resident for three years, he was a retired forklift operator for a liquor distributor.

He is survived by one son, Robert Tamilio of Las Vegas; one brother, Nick Tamilio of Phoenix; and two sisters, Gilda Tamilio of Denver and Mary Galarneau of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m.-noon Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Monday in Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Samuel Edward Wyne

Samuel Edward Wyne, 32, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for nine years, he was born Nov. 27, 1970, in Minnesota.

He is survived by his life partner, Catherine Lee Carlson; his parents, John and Gail; and one sister, Vickie Wilcowski of Minnesota.

Haskell Yett, 75, of Las Vegas died Nov. 11 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 27, 1928, in Ohio. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired schoolteacher.

He is survived by one brother, Nathaniel Yett Sr.; one nephew, Michael Yett; and one niece, Shirley Fischer.
