Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 | 11:04 a.m.

Pediatrix Medical Group Inc., the nation's largest provider of medical care for premature babies, said search warrants were served Wednesday by Nevada authorities at three of its Nevada locations.

The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based company today said the company was being investigated related to Medicaid billings since January 2000.

Tom Sargent, spokesman for the Nevada Attorney General's office, confirmed that three locations in Nevada were served with search warrants, but declined to comment on the nature of the investigation. Sargent said the warrants were served at Pediatrix subsidiary Ostetrix Medical Group Inc.
