Letter: Ensign, Reid are working hard to protect animals
Monday, Nov. 17, 2003 | 9:50 a.m.
U.S. Sens. John Ensign and Harry Reid deserve a lot of praise for their efforts to work on bills in the Senate for the protection of abused animals. Currently, there is a bill that Ensign is working on that would control shipments of large cats and address other animal issues. Ensign, who is also a veterinarian, works hard to give help to the animals. Reid also works on certain bills to help prevent cruelty to animals.
It shows that these fine men are very concerned in making a better life for defenseless animals.
