Can’t fight both crime, terrorism
Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 | 9:01 a.m.
Most people cannot understand why teens beat up and sometimes kill other teens. Could it be that all they see in movies and television shows is violence and more violence? I realize that all this violence is making people in the entertainment business rich. Also, crime has become one of our biggest industries. It gives work to thousands of police officers, judges and other people in law enforcement. We have an army of lawyers just to serve all of our criminals.
Who's footing the bill for all of this? How we can ever achieve victory over foreign terrorism and the criminal mess we have in this country is way beyond me. Is there enough money in this whole country to accomplish this? Is it possible to bankrupt a whole country?
