Three teens die in Henderson crash
Monday, Nov. 10, 2003 | 9:36 a.m.
Three teens are dead and two are in critical condition after the car they were riding in slammed into a wall in Henderson early this morning, police said.
About 12:30 a.m. a blue 1995 Pontiac Grand Am driven by a 16-year-old boy was apparently speeding eastbound on Silver Springs Parkway.
The driver apparently lost control rounding a curve at Pinion Springs Drive and crashed into a portion of a cinder block wall that surrounds the Creekside neighborhood.
Only the driver and one back seat passenger survived the wreck, police said. Those two teens were in critical condition at University Medical Center this morning, police said.
Not all of the teens were wearing seat belts, police said, but officers did not say which ones were.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, but the investigation is ongoing, police said this morning.
