'First Friday'
'First Friday' will be held in the Las Vegas Arts District from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today. Free copies of maps showing you where the hot spots are can be obtained at the Funk House at 1228 S. Casino Center, S2 Art Center at Main and Charleston Avenue and the Ice House at Main and Bonneville Avenue.
Lecture
Dr. Linda Penton Dougan will give a lecture on finance fundamentals, "Financial Literacy 101," at 3 p.m. Saturday at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Admission is free. 229-4800.
Film series
Las Vegas-Clark County Library District presents the film "Skins" at 7 p.m. Thursday at Enterprise Library, 25 E. Shelbourne Ave., as part of Native American Heritage Month. Admission is free. 507-3760.
Lecture
Ceramist Patty Warashina will host a lecture at 7 p.m. Tuesday at UNLV as part of the university's "Visiting Artist Program." Admission is free. 895-1575.

A variety of children's programs on Native American Culture are planned this week as part of Native American Heritage Month. All are free, but pre-registration is required for some programs:

'Time Out'
The French Club Sandwich film series continues with Francis Veber's "The Dinner Game" at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Admission is $3, and the program is not recommended for children. 455-7340.
