Charlotte Arons
Charlotte Arons, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1920, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald Arons of Las Vegas, Michael Arons of Parker, Ariz., and Gerald Arons of Susanville, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Clara E. Burns
Clara E. Burns, 88, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1915, in Hawk Point, Mo. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired secretary for an automotive accessories firm.
She is survived by two daughters, Gigi Gast of Colorado and Judy Ferrara of Henderson; and four grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Ray P. Doss
Ray P. Doss, 55, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1948, in Emerson, Ark. A resident for five years, he was a retired bus driver.
He is survived by his companion, Valray McIntosh of Las Vegas; one daughter, Saundra Odessa Doss of Lancaster, Calif.; his mother, Odessa Moore, and one brother, James Doss, both of Dallas; five sisters, Bobbie Simpson of Bellflower, Calif., Willie Pointer and Verna Dennis, both of Los Angeles, Daisy Young of Magnolia, Ark., and Dessie Biddle of Texarkana, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Michael W. Greasby
Michael W. Greasby, 41, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 28, 1961, in San Bernardino, Calif. A resident for 24 years, he was a hotel room-service waiter.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Jones of Las Vegas.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Frederick James Hayles
Frederick James Hayles, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. An administrator, he was born Nov. 24, 1917, in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife, Roma; three daughters, Beverly Ann Fruechting, Susan Marie Berbower and Nancy Jo Strankowski, all of California.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Edwin J. Hindhaugh
Edwin J. Hindhaugh, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 3, 1916, in England. A resident for many years, he was an aerospace supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Barbara Martin and Margaret O'Connor, both of Tucson, and Marilyn Steward of Las Vegas; two sons, Edwin "Ted" Hindhaugh Jr. of Tucson and Fred Hindhaugh of Virginia; one stepdaughter, Cindy Mathews of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Tucson. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Henry Kipnis
Henry Kipnis, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born March 13, 1918, in New York City. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired golf club and Marina hotel front desk clerk, was in public relations with Seniors United and was a member of the Paradise Democratic Club and Teamsters Local 995.
He is survived by his wife, Mae; one son, Alan Neil Kipnis of New York City; one daughter, Yvette Timmins of Houston; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Maxine Marie McBirney
Maxine Marie McBirney, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Taft, Calif. A resident for 75 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Debra Stephens, and one sister, Pauline Jarrett, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Mary Jane Pearson
Mary Jane Pearson, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Thornton, Iowa. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired customer service representative.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Price of Pasadena, Calif., and Kathy Pearson of Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Rita Roslan
Rita Roslan, 64, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 28, 1939, in Cleveland. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired caregiver.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony; three sons, Ray Roslan of Henderson, Dean Roslan of Lake Hughes, Calif., and Dan Juhas of Cleveland; four daughters, Lisa Cormier of Cambridge, Ontario, Becky Collins of Huntington Beach, Calif., Chris Dugan of Cleveland and Charlet Dugan of Massachusetts; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Philip Stohr
Philip Stohr, 88, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 16, 1915, in New York City. A resident for four years, he was a retired owner-operator of a lumber and hardware store.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Thomas Stohr of Henderson and J. Philip Stohr of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Althea Wester
Althea Wester, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. A resident for 15 years, she was born June 7, 1952, in Cleveland.
She is survived by her husband, Cedric; one daughter, Taneshia Jackson-Carroll, and two sons, Leonard Jackson and Carlo Jackson, all of Las Vegas; five brothers; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Jesse Felip Zamora
Jesse Felip Zamora, 44, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 14, 1959, in Canada. A resident for five years, he was a retired Air Force tech sergeant and Desert Storm veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Kumchu; two daughters, Desiree Zamora and Jessica Zamora, and his mother, Priseilla Zamora, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Shirley Meno of Virginia.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 7 p.m. service Nov. 12 in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
