Senior squares dedication delayed
Wind and cold weather have slowed the drying process for the "senior squares" artwork at the former Las Vegas High School campus at Seventh Street and Bridger Avenue, forcing the postponement of Friday's dedication ceremony.
"The paint is not drying as fast as the artists thought it would," said project spokeswoman Patty Haack, a member of the committee to restore the painted sidewalk squares that represent classes from 1941 to 1988.
