Star banker to be retried

NEW YORK -- Eager to reverse a high-profile setback in the war on white-collar crime, federal prosecutors plan to retry Frank Quattrone.
The decision, which many legal experts caution could backfire, comes less than two weeks after the former star Silicon Valley financier's first trial on obstruction-of-justice charges ended in a hung jury.
"We are disappointed that Frank Quattrone will face another trial because he is innocent," lead defense lawyer John Keker said. "We remain confident that the government's evidence is insufficient to prove their case."
