Grant Floyd Banks

Grant Floyd Banks, 77, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 9, 1926, in Alberta. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired custodial engineer and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M.; one daughter, Debborah Koch of Prescott, Ariz.; four sons, Grant Banks Jr. and Gary Banks, both of Port Angeles, Wash., Glen Dixon of Austin, Texas, and Randy Dixon of Prescott; four sisters; and six grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Gale Barbeau

Gale Barbeau, 48, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Beatty. She was born June 26, 1955, in Chicago. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired schoolteacher.

She is survived by her friend, Frank Maestas,one daughter, Stephanie Mastalarz, one son, Jason Mastalarz, and her mother, Elizabeth Barbeau, all of Las Vegas; her father, Herman Barbeau of Fort Myers, Fla.; three brothers, Earl Barbeau, Carl Barbeau and Dale Barbeau, and one sister, Cheryl Ward, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday with a 5 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Eugene Bevel

Eugene Bevel, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Oilton, Okla. A resident for 41 years, he was a grounds supervisor and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one son, Rod Bevel of Taylorsville, N.C.; two daughters, Ruth Ann Lenihan of Rialto, Calif., and LuAn Presser of Las Vegas; one sister, Joanna Miller of Boulder City; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

'Frankie James' Buserwini

"Frankie James" Buserwini, 58, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 28, 1945, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for four years, he was a band leader, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; three daughters, Lisa Beaton of Fairfield, Calif., and Michelle Duarte and Lisa Trotman, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Gary Buserwini of Santa Clara, Calif., and Walt Duarte of Antioch, Calif.; and 15 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. until noon services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Daniel E. Carmiencke

Daniel E. Carmiencke, 39, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A dealer, he was born Dec. 8, 1963, in New York.

He is survived by his parents, Susan and David E. Carmiencke of Oceanside, N.Y.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Pinelawn, N.Y. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Jean Deldin

Jean Deldin, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Sept. 28, 1912, in the Bronx, N.Y.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald Deldin of Las Vegas and John Deldin of Florida; one sister, Ursala Dell Angelo of New York; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Hawthorne, N.Y.

Viola I. Diehl

Viola I. Diehl, 90, of Overton died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 15, 1913, in Blair, Neb. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired grocery store manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Trombley of Overton; one son, Ralph Clinton Diehl of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Alyce Mae Smothers of Tucson; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Brent E. Fullmer

Brent E. Fullmer, 54, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 2, 1949, in Driggs, Idaho. A resident for 19 years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by one son, Wyatt Fullmer of Las Vegas; his parents, Earl and Ruby Fullmer of Idaho; two brothers, Kurt Fullmer of Utah and Clint Fullmer of Idaho; and two sisters, Toni Kearsley of Utah and Beverly Beard of Idaho.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

George L. Hendersen Sr.

George L. Hendersen Sr., 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1946, in Wilbur, Wash. A resident for 51 years, he was a hotel maintenance engineer, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 10047.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; one daughter, Lynnette Hendersen of Las Vegas; six sons, Patrick Biggs of Tucson, Fred Biggs, Matthew Biggs, Zachary Biggs and George Hendersen Jr., all of Las Vegas, and Allan Hendersen of Salt Lake City; one sister, Gladys Rhoads of Las Vegas; two brothers, Robert Holmes Sr. of Henderson and Thomas Holmes of Oregon; and 17 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow at noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Joseph Francis Johnson

Joseph Francis Johnson, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 3, 1929, in New Haven, Conn. A resident for nine years, he was a construction salesman, an All American for Boston College, a Green Bay Packer player 1954-1959 and a Boston Patriot player from 1959-1964.

He is survived by his wife, Dotty; three daughters, Joanne Mitchell and Kathy J. Sullivan, both of Las Vegas, and Lynda Hicks of Shrewsbury, Mass.; two sons, Joe Johnson of Las Vegas and Mark Johnson of Temecula, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

Mary F. Johnson

Mary F. Johnson, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Dec. 9, 1945, in Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Earl.

Enriqueta Galedo Marapao

Enriqueta Galedo Marapao, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born May 17, 1914, in the Philippines. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Philippine Bisayan and the Boholano Assn.

She is survived by three sons, Cirila Marapao, George Marapao and Felicisimo Marapao; four daughters, Maxima Voelker, Teofilo Marapao, Goning Narciso and Irene Deligero; 29 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Harry Midby

Harry Midby, 83, of Las Vegas died Oct. 15 in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1920, in Chester, Mont. A retired owner of Sun Pools, he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps, was a minister in the Nazarene Church and worked on the Manhattan Project.He was preceded in death by one son, Harry Warner Midby.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one daughter, Rosemary Midby of Las Vegas; four sons, John Midby, Glenn Midby, James Midby and Thomas Midby; one sister, Evelyn Midby of Nampa, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial service was held. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., handled arrangements.

Dorothy M. Moore

Dorothy M. Moore, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 17, 1923, in Nevada. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Russell Moore, Michael Moore and William Moore; two daughters, Bonnie Lamm and Linda Workman; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Leland Nesselrodt

Leland Nesselrodt, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 10, 1925, in Brandywine, W.Va. A resident for 13 years, he was a nursing assistant at the veterans center and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary L.; one daughter, Marianne Street of Las Vegas; one son, Timothy Nesselrodt of Bonaire, Dutch Antilles; two sisters, Martha Arey of Dayton, Va., and Betty Propst of Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Robin R. Owen

Robin R. Owen, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 8, 1924, in West Blocton, Ala. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired Air Force senior master sergeant and World War II veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Michael R. Owen of Carson City and Charles L. Owen of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-7 p.m. today and 90 minutes prior to an 11:30 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

George Harry Reed

George Harry Reed, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local convalescent center. He was born Jan. 16, 1932, in Ossining, N.Y. A resident for 55 years, he was a retired police captain and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one son, William Reed of Henderson; one daughter, Carol McGill of Hollister, Calif.; one sister, Grace Straughn of Idaho; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Margaret Saunders

Margaret Saunders, 91, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born June 13, 1912.

She is survived by three daughters, Margie Saunders, Noreen Hennessey and Mary McGinn.

Edward Seggerson

Edward Seggerson, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Chicago. A resident for 45 years, he was a geologist and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; and one son, Michael Scott of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Visitation was scheduled 10 a.m.-noon today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services were scheduled at 1:20 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Artria Mae Simms

Artria Mae Simms, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 25, 1926, in Louisiana. A resident for 31 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Williams of Las Vegas and Monisha Mullens of North Las Vegas; one brother, Charles Edward Barrett of Washington state; two sisters, Yvonne Barrett of Las Vegas and Mildred Rodgers of Arkansas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Rodney David Sparks

Rodney David Sparks, 50, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born May 12, 1953, in Bakersfield, Calif. A resident for 34 years, he was a mobile home salesman and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Justin M. Sparks and Michael P. Sparks, and one stepdaughter, Courtney Serna, all of Las Vegas; two stepsons, Steven Serna of Las Vegas and Arby Davis of Henderson; two sisters, Carrie Dasko and Rebbie Haney, both of Las Vegas; his father, Ed Sparks of San Diego; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

George Treloar

George Treloar, 82, of Las Vegas died Oct. 29 in a local care center. He was born Aug. 12, 1921, in New York City. A resident for two years, he was a retired truck driver and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Buzan and June Smith, both of Las Vegas; two sons, John Treloar of Canyon County, Calif., and Joseph Treloar of Florida; one sister, Helen Leithead of New Hampshire; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 12:40 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Celia L. Vaughn

Celia L. Vaughn, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born April 6, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 39 years, she was a casino cage person.

She is survived by her husband, John; three daughters, Janet, Jackie and Deirdre; and four grandchildren.

Clara Mae Walker

Clara Mae Walker, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 15, 1954, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by two sons, Micheal Walker and Marcus Walker, and one daughter, Kimbely Walker, all of Las Vegas; her father, George Walker Jr. of Missouri; three brothers, Raymond Walker, Bernard Walker and Andre Walker, and four sisters, Jeniece Fredenburg, Peggy Everett, Pamela Bosley and Evelyn Walker, all of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
