StumbleLocal school named an Exemplary Lab

Vegas Verdes Elementary School was to be honored today as an Exemplary Lab school by representatives of the Creative Education Institute.
The school, near Oakey and Valley View boulevards, is being honored for the students' progress in instructional reading and reading comprehension after using a computer learning system created by the institute. The program, called the Essential Learning System, was implemented last school year, with 60 students participating.
Vegas Verdes is one of 5,000 education institutions in the nation using the computer system.
